This notice is written to be understood rather than to limit our liability. Where any provision below is unclear, the interpretation least favourable to us should be assumed, and we invite you to contact us for clarification.

PaperJET is operated by Active Cargo Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (ACSPL), Nagpur, India. ACSPL is the entity responsible for the little data this site collects, and the one to contact about it.
The short version: your documents are never uploaded. Every tool on this site runs inside your own browser. There is no server that receives your file, which means there is nothing for us to store, read, leak or hand over — not as a policy we promise to keep, but as a fact about how the site is built.
How this operates
When you drop a file on PaperJET, your browser reads it from your disk into its own memory. The compression, OCR and conversion code is downloaded to your machine and runs there, using WebAssembly. The finished file is produced in the same tab and handed straight back to you as a download.
Nothing about the document travels over the network at any point. You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and run any tool. You will see the code being fetched, and no upload of your file. You can also disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded — the tools will keep working.

That is the complete list. There is no advertising, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no session recording and no cookies beyond what is needed to keep you signed in if you choose to sign in.
Information we do not collect
- Your documents, or any part of them.
- The names of your files.
- Any text, number, table or image that OCR or a conversion read out of a file.
- Your contacts, your location beyond a country and city you type in yourself, or anything from other tabs or applications.
Storage location and retention period
The little we do collect is held in a database hosted by Supabase in Mumbai, India. Usage counts are kept indefinitely because they are anonymous. Contact details are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and equivalent law elsewhere, you may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Ask and we will do it — there is very little to show, and deleting it costs us nothing.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not limit your use of any tool, because no tool has ever depended on it.
Third parties
The site is served by Vercel and the database is Supabase; both necessarily see your IP address in the ordinary course of serving a web page, as every website's host does. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. The PDF and OCR engines (pdf-lib, pdf.js and Tesseract) are open source and served from this site rather than from anyone else's, so using a tool does not tell a third party which tool you used.
Disclaimer
PaperJET is provided as it is, free, with no warranty of any kind. Please read the following as a genuine caution rather than boilerplate:
- Keep your originals. Every tool writes a new file and never touches the one on your disk, but you should still keep the original until you have checked the result.
- Check the output before you rely on it. This matters most for OCR, PDF → Word and PDF → Excel, which reconstruct a document rather than copy it.
- OCR is a reading, not a record. It can and does misread faint print, stamps, skewed scans and handwriting. The confidence score shown with the result is a real measurement and worth heeding. Never submit an OCR result to a customs, tax or legal authority without checking it against the original document.
- Compression at the strongest levels can flatten text into an image. Where that happens, the tool says so.
- We accept no liability for any loss arising from use of this site. If a document matters, verify it.
